You may very well ask what this awesomeness entails. Never fear, photo evidence is here, courtesy of the very talented Bruce Moyle at Joffre Street Productions (every time I try to take a photo at a roller derby bout it's pretty much an orange and black blur, kind of like a lopsided smeary tiger. Amusing for my five-year-old, but perhaps not so entertaining for blog readers):

During: CCR vs WIRD

After: CCR vs Devils State Derby League.
Although I'm a Deadly Nightslay I may not be in all the bouts listed above (alas, I'm having toe surgery and recovery time will require a few weeks off skates, but when I do return I will have TOES OF STEEL. How many of you can say that?)
What will you be doing this year?
Skate or die!!,
Enid.
Today I'm linking up with With Some Grace for Flog Yo Blog Friday.

ME! I can say that!!! I have toes of steel. Staples and screws even. Go us. HOpe the surgery goes well Enid.
ReplyDeleteAWESOME!!!!!!!!!! and thanks :).
DeleteCan't wait to hear more of the exploits of a woman with toes of steel! I intend to start off slow and progress to getting back on my bike this year (both literally and metaphorically).
ReplyDeleteGood luck with that Jo :)
DeleteHaving toes of steel will come in handy for high school teaching too I'd imagine. You go girl! Woot!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like SUCH fun!
ReplyDeleteAnd with Toes Of Steel you will be unbeatable and redoubtable!!
Hope the toe surgery goes well!!! You are awesome! I am so unco on skates it is a sight to behold!!!
